If I didn't have sandals on I know my feet would be baked on the hot asphalt. Kids and teens ran around with their friends laughing and having a good time. I walked through the entrance of Adventuredome stuffing the rest of my money that I didn't use to get in here in my pocket. There were two arrows pointing in different directions. One read Water Park. The other one read, Theme Park I turned in the direction of the Water Park. I looked around for a pool chair where I could set my stuff. I slipped off my sandals and stripped off my clothes to reveal my pink and blue two piece swimsuit. I tucked my bag under the chair so no one would want to steal my money and phone, but I set my towel on the chair so no one would take my spot.
I slowly jogged over to a huge slide that looked the size of a building. I felt my jaw drop so I quickly closed it. The ground was scorching my feet so I walked quicker towards the slide. I climbed up the slippery stairs up towards the slide and stopped once I was almost at the top. A large line of people were waiting for their turn. I took a peek over the railing and gulped. I was high up and starting to regret coming up here, but I didn't want to look foolish so I stayed watching as the line grew smaller and smaller.

I was at least seventy feet in the air with just a small railing between me and falling, but I didn't care in the least. Heights didn't bother me.
However, a girl that looked about my age behind me looked quite shaken. I could tell she didn't want to be up here. I granted her a shy smile, a warm one.
"Don't worry. This thing is super sturdy!"
I called to her across the people in between us. Of course, at that moment a fat man had to go down the slide, making the slide look wobbly. I glared down at him and sighed. | word count (119) |

I raised an eyebrow questioning her statement about this being sturdy. The life guard on duty was on his phone playing games and what not. He didn't give a care about what was happening in the world around him. I watched as a little boy and his friend went down the same time while the life guard wasn't looking. I checked the sign that the life guard was leaning on.
1. Feet first 2. Lay down 3. No spinning 4. No going on stomach 5. Go alone
Boy, that life guard sure does make me feel safe. I sarcastically thought in my mind as I looked over the head of other people. I saw the two boys. One was crying as he sat on the asphalt with a bloody knee. "What happened?" A lady in front of me turned and said 'the boy behind him was heavier so he pushed into him and sent him flying off the slide' I gulped and took more steps up the stairs as the next person went flying down the slide. After time and time of people going down I was next. It was steep. And I mean really steep. I looked at the life guard to see if I could go. He laughed as he played around on his phone. I checked to see if the coast was clear for me to go. Before I slid down I smacked the phone out of his hand and watched the screen turn black. "That's for the little boy." I pushed myself off. Wind pulled my hair back and water splashed me in the face as I flew down the slide. I began to slow down and got up once I stopped. I walked away taking a look up at the life guard. He was still staring down at me with shock. I gave him a sarcastic wave and smile. I'm not sure if he could see me, but I felt good about it as I walked back to my chair.
