Max hurried into the school building. It was her first day here. The last thing she wanted was to be late. She had just moved here, for reasons that a sollect few knew the reasoning of. But here, it would be chaos, but Max would find a way to work threw it all. This place was supposed to be a haven for others like her. That was why she came here. But it was starting to get out. Everything about her and others. Not her in particular, but what she was. Around here, the streets and school swarmed with them.
But Max was new. There where upsides to that. For one, you could pretty much pick your friends and not need to have the people you have known forever, but just don't have the heart to tell them you don't even like then very much anymore. But not knowing anyone was also the down side to being the new kid in school. You didn't now the names of any other person. As long as she didn't completely lie like kids in movies then everyone found out they had lied and hated them because of it, she should be just fine. As long as no one finds out her biggest secret of all.

Justing walked through the crowded hallway. Kids bumped into him from left and right and it was starting to annoy him, but he kept his mouth shut and just kept walking. His eyes looked around for his locker number. fifty eight.. fifty eight.. He kept his eyes open for his locker and with out paying attention he ran into a girl in the hallway. It startled him so he looked down in shock. "Sorry." He said with a smile. Justin hadn't seen her around. Maybe she's new. He thought to himself as he slid through a gap between her and another person standing in his way of his locker. "See you around." He called to her before the person closed the gap behind him.
(I'm sorry! short I just have to leave my computer.)

Max was looking down at a paper that had her locker, and the combo written down on top of it. It was locker number 57, then the combo was writen under it. Looking up at the lockers every once and a while. But she began to get knocked around by many people as the hall was filling with many other students. One time when she wasn't looking up and paying attention, another kid ran into her. He looked to be about her age, but was bigger and taller. With her being small, it was not weird for to be smaller then most. "It's okay," Max said with a small smile. "Hey, can you help me find my locker? I'm so lost," Max told him making her way to his side with a small smile.

He turned his head at her and smiled. "Sure." Justin looked at her paper. 57 He thought and looked back up at her. "Follow me." Justin turned around and took a couple steps towards the lockers on the left side of the hallway. His blue eyes wondered around the placks that held up the numbers on each locker. 55, 56, 57. "Right here. Fifty seven." He knocked on the locker to gesture that it was this was hers. Then Justin stepped to the other locker next to her's, 58, and opened it up. "And this is my locker." He smiled looking at her. Then he grabbed his math book out of his messy locker and closed it shut. Justin held out his hand for her to shake. "I'm Justin. You?"

Max smiled up at him. She was happy that she would have someone that would be willing to help her out, because even if she did this time after time, Max still couldn't find her way around any school. Normally she would wonder and hope to find it, but this time she was actually getting some help. This guy seemed really nice, she would probably be sticking around with him until she could get the hang of this school. Max was really grateful to him, that he would take the time to at least show her where her locker was.
As they reached the locker, Max stopped in front if it. It was so ironic how their lockers where right next to each other. At least know if she needed help, he would be right next to her if she needed him for anything. And that would probably happen a lot. Even if someone gave her directions, she would not be able to follow them. So Max opened her locker even though it took several tried to get it open, and set her extra books in it. "I'm Maxwell, but you can call me Max," she said with a smile. "It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too, Max." Justin smiled as he slipped on of his hands into his jean pockets using his other hand to hold his book. The hallway was clearing and in only a few moments they were the last ones there. Justin thought it was weird how in only a few moments the hallway could become quiet, peaceful, and empty. The bell rang again which meant they were late for class, but he didn't mind. In fact he usually was late. "So," he started. "What class do you have next? I've got math." Justin stated as he held up his math book.

Max nodded with a smile. She looked around as the hallway slowly began to loose all the people that had once been crowding it. Hallways could be full of people one minut, then the next be completely empty. It was actually very odd if you asked Max. But that was just how it all worked, it was how school worked. When Justin mentioned his class and asked what Max's was, she almost laughed, she also had math. It was kinda funny. They have lockers next to each other, then they have the sane class. "I think I have math too," she said looking down at get scedual quickly to confirm that she did have math class.

He gave a quiet laugh, because he, too, thought that was ironic. "Okay, follow me." Justin started to walk down the hall and pointed to the left. "That way." He turned his head and smiled. His blue eyes looked around the hall. There was art hung up on the walls from the seniors that year. His was not hung up, but he didn't blame them. He wasn't very artistic. Justin turned his head around again to make sure Max was following him. He stopped and waited for her to catch up. The math door was a few feet away from him so he waited to hold open the door for her. "Here we go Max. The math room." He held up his hands and wiggled his fingers like the ladies on game shows when people win a car or something. He was just joking and he hoped she didn't think he was weird.

A smile crossed over Max's face. She wondered how many other subjects that they had together. So far they only had one, but their lockers where also right next to each other. Following after Justin. They where very close to the math room. For a moment Max stayed by her locker, but made her way after Justin in a few moments. Max was glad that he waited for her. When he did what those ladies did when you win something, she laughed. He was so awkward. But it made Max laugh. "Thanks again for showing me around," he said blinking her grey eyes.

Justin gave her a nice, friendly smile. "Anytime." He grasped the doors handle and opened it. He held it open with his foot and gestured with his hands towards the entrance. "Enter." He joked and smiled. Justin leaned his head over a bit to see his teacher writing on the board. "Okay, fast. He might have not noticed that were late." He told Max in a hushed voice over the sound of chalk on a board and the scribbles students wrote in their notepads pretending they were taking notes.

Max nodded as she peered into the classroom. The teacher was writing on the board. Darn, she was late. And on her first day of school to. That was the last thing she wanted. But since it was only her first day, Max didn't think that she was going to be getting detention. Maybe she could somehow manage to get in and find a seat before the teacher noticed that she was not there. But as she began to make her way quietly, withought even turning around, the teacher somehow knew she was in the room. "Miss. Posley, glad you could join us, I would hate to give you detention on your first day." Max stopped and clinched her teeth. Crap, he noticed.

Justin tried sneaking in also. He tried to close the door slowly and quietly, but the teacher caught Max and him. "That's not fair." He spoke up. "She just needed help finding her way around. Just give her one slide? Please." He tried to get her out of detention, but that was going to be hard this teacher was not one for second chances. Justin raised an eyes brow waiting for his answer. He glanced at Max catching her eye shrugging to show that he is trying his best.

Max she glanced over at Justin as the teacher caught both of them. The teacher was not exactly the nicest that she had ever met. He probably just would put her and Justin into detention. But maybe they could just try and talk their ways around that matter. "Ya... It's only my first day, I needed to have help getting here, Justin was only helping me," Max told him. But it didn't seem to make him change his mind. "Well then, if I put you in detention then you will be sure to find your way around and not be late again." Yup, he was definaty going to put them both into detention, Max was sure of it.

"But-" The teacher gave him a look that told him that was that. He had detention. Justin rolled his eyes behind the teachers back and strolled towards one of the desks in the back. He set his math book down and took out a pen scribbling on a piece of paper he found on the empty desk beside him. Sorry about the teacher. He thought to himself as he quickly wrote on the paper. I feel like I got you into detention. I'm sorry. He finished with an apology and folded it over a few times. His thumb hit the top of the pen and it closed with a click! Justin pretended he dropped it on the ground and on his way up he quickly tossed it on Max's desk.

Max sighed and made her way to her desk that was again ironicly, my Justin's. It was her first day of school and she had detention. It was all her fault, if she was able to get around the school easier, then maybe both of them would not have detention. Well, if she thought about it, at least she would not be alone, Justin would be right there with her. Maybe it was a good thing that she was not alone when she went. But that ment Justin was in detention because og her. While he was probably blamkng himself for them being in detention. BVut it reakky wasn't his fault, he didn't need to help her, he could have just kept walking. Before she knew it, a note was set on her desk. Glancing up at the teacher, he was still writing down on the board. Keeping the teacher in the corner of her eye. Max read the note, glancing over at Justin she mouthed the word, It's okay, and it's not your falt. It was all her fault, Justin had nothing to do with it.
